This week Pastor Dan steps us through Luke 6:43 - 49. Within verses 43 through 49 are 2 lessons:
1. Call to Discernment.
2. Call to be True Disciple.

The Disposition of the Disciple - Luke 6:37-42

Pastor Dan walks us through Luke 6:37-42 stating the 5 mindsets of the follower of Jesus Christ. Being a Disciple requires a certain way of thinking. As followers of Christ our thinking is not always in line with Jesus Christ.

An Out of This World Love!

Pastor Dan walks us through Luke 6:27-36 to discuss "An Out of This World Love!".  He explains to us Jesus's words about what Love is: "Doing something good for someone trying to harm you!".

The Beatitudes Luke 6:17-23

Pastor Dan walks us through The Beatitudes in Luke 6:17-23. He states the Jesus's teaching of the Beatitudes does not make sense to the human mind.

Average Guys

When our children are young we tell them they can be anything they want! We often tell them to be the best they can be and we would say you should accel at whatever you do. However, Jesus chose 12 Average Guys to upset the entire world. Think about it: None of these guys were "exceptional", none of them were "top of their class" and certainly none of them would ever sit at an earthly kings table. BUT...Jesus knew better.
God uses the common folk to accomplish the incredible and He does it for His glory.
